Microsilica ( Silica Fume )
We are the leading manufacturer and supplier for Micro Silica. We have the densifier to help our customer to solve the transportation problem . Our micro silica are sold to many countries , almost 20 countries , which used for concrete , refractories , and we have obtained good reputation in the world .
About the detailed SiO2 content, bulk density, packing term, etc, we can supply according to your requirement. Our products are certified by ISO9001 or SGS, and the standard accord with ASTM or EN.
Microsilica is collected in the furnace filters from the production of FeSi and SiMet. It is a grey powder of small particles the size of those in cigarette smoke. A typical application is as a densifyer and strengthener of concrete, particularly required in slim structures and smooth water-proof surfaces. Among other uses are fibre cement sheets, refractoy and fertilizers.
Silica fume consists primarily of amorphous (non-crystalline) silicon dioxide (SiO2), its average granule diameter is 0.15~0.20 µm, specific surface area is 15000~20000m2/kg, and it has extremely strong surface active. Because of its fine particles, large surface area, and the high SiO2 content, silica fume is a very reactive pozzolan when used in concrete. At the same time, silica fume can still be used in the production of refractory and porcelain; to raise intensity and durability .it also can improve the material overall performance as a filler, used in paint, coating, resin, rubber and other high molecular material.
Silica fume in concrete
Characteristics of Silica Fume

Applications for Silica Fume
Marine concrete
- High strength concrete
- Concrete subjected to aggressive groundwater conditions
- Chemical plants
- Industrial floors subject to high abrasion levels
- Dams and spillways for strength and abrasion resistance
- Shotcrete, for reduced rebound, and improved cohesion/adhesion
- Grouts and mortars/Repair concrete
- Jobs requiring long pump lines
- Watertight basements.
Silica fume in refractory
Enhancing the fluid of pouring refractory, reducing the volume of used water, be easy to shape, and raising the production efficiency.
Because of its untramicrostructure for gap filling, the compact and intensity of refractory gain rising by a wade margin.
Silica fume is a highly effective pozzolanic material, so it's easy to come into being Mullite Phase, under the premise that Al2O3 exists, enhance elevated temperature strength and thermal shock of refractory.
